DMARSPA   December 10, 2015

President Justine Finley welcomed   approximately 100 members and guests to the DMARSPA holiday party. Rosemary Hillman welcomed fiddler player David Bellegante and guitarist Bob O’Hern.  David and Bob entertained the group with a variety of Christmas music, Blue Grass music, polka music, ragtime music and waltzes. Justine presented David and Bob with a framed photo of a fiddle.

DMARSPA is looking for musical entertainment for their 2016 December program. If anyone knows of a vocal or instrumental group, contact the president.

Justine acknowledge the November and December members birthdays. She led the group in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  Jane Majors gave a short presentation about reaching students through the benefits if singing and playing musical instruments.

A delicious meal of Chicken Amagio, alfredo bow tie pasta, Caesar salad, and a choice of lemon bars, toffee bars, tuxedo bars or butterscotch bars was served.  Justine thanked the wait staff for a job well done.

President Justine called the meeting to order. Courtesy cards were sent to Jeanette Callaghan, Joe Nemic, Kaye Winter and Marilyn Kelley.  It was announced that Billie Smith- Uitermarkt’s husband passed away.

Joelle Snyder read the secretary’s report. The minutes were approved as read. The treasurer’s report showed a balance of $10,513.71 in the checking account and $676.66 in the scholarship fund.
Tabby Kuehl from the Visiting Nurses thanked the group for the generous donation of children’s books.

New business: Cathy Cate had knee replacement.

Guests were Gail from Raleigh, North Carolina and Janice Cord.

Jody McCombs-Miller won the afghan.    A decorated tree was won by Joan Casey.
A gift exchange was enjoyed by everyone.

The program for the January 28 meeting will be “A Vision for the Playhouse-What it Was, What it is and What is it Becoming” presented by John Viars and Nikki Syverson.
