DMARSPA DECEMBER 13, 2018, MINUTES

1.     President Paula Schaefer welcomed DMARSPA members and guests to the December 13, 2018, meeting

2.    Sherry Wilkinson introduced the DM WOMEN’s Club chorus who performed Christmas songs for DMARSPA members and guests, followed by a sing-a-log, a flute performance and a reading by Edie Fudge.  A solo performance was given recreating a Kristen Chenoweth song.   Mike Walag performed on the key board .

3.    Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

4.    Lunch

5.    Paula announced the names of two new members.

6.    The business meeting was begun by President Schaefer at 12:03 pm.

            A.  Minutes - Sherry Wilkinson, secretary, read the October minutes, which were                                                  approved as read.

            B. Treasurer’s Report - Sandra Petree- The balance on hand October 13, 2018, was                  $8133.68; The balance on hand December 13, 2018, was $7096.73, after expenses of                  $999 and $37.95 for meals and a returned check were subtracted.  A deposit of $1218                   was made.  A balance of $1253.35 is in the Scholarship account.  Total assets as of                   December 13, 2018, were $8350.08.  The report will be filed for audit.

            C.  Legislative - Gary Thelen (absent)

            D.  Courtesy - Dee Fleischacker- Cards were sent to Betty McGavin for a broken                          wrist; Erica Brown who is not feeling well; Shirley Moore, who is undergoing chemo.

            E.  Old/New Business - postponed until next month.

7.  Door prizes - won by Diana Lerner and Jeff Fulton.  Dawn Hutchison won the afghan made                            by Marilyn Kelly.

9.   The December DMARSPA meeting was adjourned at 12:23 pm.  The next meeting will be       January 24, with “The History of Jasper Winery and Wine Tasting” being the program.
